Accessory Week: Betsy Hatter

Aloha, peaches! Today I have a post for you that I have been DYING to do for so long but just couldn't get the pictures right for it and what better time than Accessory Week!? The moment I found out I was lucky to have the opportunity to be working with the amazing Betsy Hatter I knew exactly the shoot I wanted to do and it involved a sunset. Betsy Hatter is an extremely talented Milliner based in Norwich, Norfolk who specializes in hats inspired by the 1940's and 1950's as well as making bespoke creations.

I first saw the 'Elspeth' hat on the beautiful Fleur McGerr and literally fell in love. I love the versatility of the hat... It can be worn with an up do (a la moi) or a down style (a la my gorgeous friend Alice, who just styled/reviewed the very same hat! Click here to see how she rocked it!). There are so many different ways you could style the Elspeth hat whether you wanted to take a 40's route or add some roses for a more senorita Mexican vibe or add some hibiscus flowers for a tiki feel. The possibilities are endless!

I love the fact that this hat looks so good with flowers whether you add them to the side of your hair (like I did) or you add them directly to the hat. The hat fastens with a ribbon so you can just clip your favourite accessories right on. Traditionally you're suppose to wear the ribbon tied around your neck but to hide the ribbon I just tide it in a tight bow and used bobby pins to secure it to my hair! Voila!

Admittedly, this post is going to be very picture heavy as I wanted to have a good selection of photo's for Siofra (Miss Betsy Hatter) to use so... there... you have been warned! :-D Enjoy! x

ps. My dress is vintage (from a charity shop) and my hair flower is from Alternate Normality <3

I hope you enjoyed reading my post and looking at my far-too-many pictures :-)
All my love,
