Pinup Picks: Select Fashion

Aloha, peaches! Pinup Picks is a series on my blog where I feature some pinup style clothing that I've found on the high street. Each post will be for one particular shop and I will have prices and links to everything I feature. Today's shop is a UK brand called 'Select' which isn't exactly known for retro-inspired pieces (think more leggings and crop tops!) but recently I have noticed a couple of pieces that I personally think would look great mixed with other pinup style staples. This series will result in an extensive wish list... Well for me, at least! The best thing about Select is they are pretty affordable (In between Primark and New Look prices) and always have sales. They also have 15% student discount, too. Most of my much-loved fluffy jumpers are from Select and they are actually quite good quality!

Pinup Style On A Budget: £5 SHOES!?

Aloha, my little candy canes! How're you doing? I hope you're feeling fabulously festive! I have a very shoe-heavy post for you today... But there is a catch - they are ALL £5... Yes, you read that right... FIVE! When I used to live in Watford, we had a little shop quite literally called 'Everything £5' - or something along the lines of that... Admittedly the quality isn't going to be superior, but I wouldn't say it is much different from that of Primark or similar budget stores. It is great for purse-pinchers and you can find some gems if you look hard enough and use your imagination! I was browsing online (like always!) and stumbled across the 'Everything £5' website! Yiippeee! I had a little (long) look and took a liking to their range of shoes. I know my fellow Bombshell and friend Miss Amy May is a fan and that says a lot!

Now, the choice can be a little overwhelming with 956 products in just the shoe category alone so I've concocted a little list of my favourites and also put them in categories of style too as I know we all have different tastes. I've filtered through the fugly 'not-so-pin-up' ones, so you don't have to... However I'd recommend using their 'Search by colour' tool if you're looking for something specific!
What is also good about the site is that they have a pretty simple review system so customers can write their honest opinions on each of the items and most of the items have lots of reviews either telling you they hate them or they absolutely love them which is pretty handy for judging quality and comfort!

OOTD: My Favourite Very.com Coat!

Aloha, sweetpeas!
Today, I have another outfit post for you which features a new addition to my wardrobe that I'm completely besotted with. I'm sure you've probably guessed it from the title of the post - my gorgeous coat! Very kindly asked me to do a guest post on their blog (which you can find here) and said I could pick my favourite coat to feature over here on Atomic Amber. Of course I was over the moon as they have such a gorgeous selection of coats and I was also lusting after a new winter warmer.

Pin Up Style On A Budget: Matalan Picks

Well, well, well... I haven't done a 'Pin Up Style On A Budget' post in forever! I was originally doing another blog post (which will now be published after this one!) and I just couldn't help but feel the need to share all the gorgeous finds that I've seen whilst perusing various highstreet/supermarket websites! I literally have 14 tabs open on my laptop from where I've seen something I'd love to share so I've opened it up to make sure I don't forget to put it in a post! And the cold weather seems to be a perfect excuse do to some shopping, right? ;-) As if you need an excuse anyway! Let's jump straight into the Matalan bargains!

Autumn/Winter Vintage Style Inspiration!

It's the 1st of October... That means three things - We're basically in Autumn (Despite the ever-changing British weather!), HALLOOOWWEEEN and Christmas (yes I said it) is just around the corner. I know everyone and their Mother says this, but where the heck has 2014 gone!? Seriously!
Anyway, with the colder months fast approaching it means you're going to have to dust off your cardigans and dig out your jumpers before the chill well and truly arrives! I have to admit, I love autumn/winter - there are fewer things better for me than coming home from cold winters day, peeling off all of your layers, lighting a cozy candle, making a hot chocolate (and yes, I'll have the cream & marshmellows too, ahem!) and snuggling under a blankie. Tell me that doesn't sound heavenly?
For the days that you can't remain in your pajamas *siiigh* I have concocted a little post to give you some maroon-hued inspiration for outfits during the autumn... Or fall as the American's say!

Pin Up Style On A Budget: eBay Edition #4

Hola Dolls! I feel like I haven't done one of these in AGES! To be honest, I just haven't really been shopping recently... But I have had the occasional scroll through eBay to find the best little gems!

Let's get started!

I am in LOVE with these gypsy style tops! I think they are the ultimate casual tops for the warmer weather. I will definitely be getting a few of these as they have such a lovely selection of colours. They would look amazing with most things from a novelty print circle skirt to your favourite jeans! The best part? They are only £3.99!
And it also comes in long sleeve for those colder months too!

Pin Up Style On A Budget: Primark SS14 Edition

I feel like I haven't done one of these for ages! Anyway, I love seeing what high-street stores have to offer in terms of vintage/pin up inspired clothing and I feel like you can really find some gems if you keep you're eyes peeled. One shop I think really pulls it out of the bag every year is Primark - there is always a few pieces that I think could pass as being from a vintage reproduction shop such as Tara Starlet (which is beautiful, but not purse friendly!). Here are my top picks from their SS14 collection. I was completely blown away when I saw what they had to offer this year. Now... Elbows at the ready - who's ready for to battle your way through your local Primarni!? These gem's are sure worth it!

£12
I love the nautical feel of this little midi skirt.
